These items amounted to £23,037. 2. 9., leaving a balance

of £196,744. 17. 5. which was provided from the general
account of the Colony.
3. There is still to be received the interest which
has been earned on monies deposited in the Joint Colonial Fund
on behalf of the accounts mentioned above. The amount due
for the quarter ended 30th September will be determined and
paid shortly, but the amount due for the period from the 1st
to the 15th October will not be known until the rate of
distribution for the current quarter has been decided (after
the balance sheet has been struck early in January, 1935).
Both amounts will be credited when received to the general
account of the Colony.
